Explore the world, one radio station at at time with Radio Garden
Find your local radio station or listen to one thousands of miles away in an instant.
Use it as a language learning tool or just to explore the world!
The idea came originally from a non-profit Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision research project in collaboration with the Transnational Radio Knowledge Platform and five other European universities. Going viral in 2016, today, Radio Garden is run by interactive designer and software developer Jonathan Puckey with a small team in Amsterdam. It’s a great way to virtually visit all the different parts of the globe. Learn from different cultures and discover different languages. A fascinating tool for anyone who loves to travel and explore, it is also a good way to get to know how different parts of the world talk about what matters to them and, of course, what music they love to listen to.
Download on to your phone from the App store. Free and easy to sue, simply rotate the globe and zoom in to discover thousands of radio stations and recommendations for those close by.
You can get in touch with the team via: feedback@radio.garden. It’s a tiny team, so don’t expect an immediate response! For press and other business enquiries, use business@radio.garden.
If you want to propose a change to an existing station, or to submit a radio station, click and fill in the station submission form.
Visit the website at www.radio.garden. Available as an app for android and apple. Please note: UK listeners are currently restricted to UK only stations due to current licensing restrictions. Hopefully this situation will be resolved soon.
Have FUN, find your favourite, feel CLOSER!
Please be aware: if you are based in the UK, you cannot currently access international radio stations.
